Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
The short version
Speech Steady does not collect any data about you. Your voice goes from your microphone to your headphones and nowhere else. We don't record it, save it, or send it to anyone, including us. There is no account, no sign-up, and no tracking.
This matches the App Store privacy label for Speech Steady: Data Not Collected.
Who we are
Speech Steady is made by Sabi Ventures LLC, a small independent software company in Massachusetts, USA. You can reach us at support@speechsteady.com.
Your voice
The app needs microphone access to work. It uses the microphone only while you have a session running. The sound is delayed by a fraction of a second and played back to your headphones in real time. Audio is held in memory for that fraction of a second and then discarded. It is never written to storage, never uploaded, and never analyzed for words or meaning. You can turn off microphone access any time in Settings.
What stays on your phone
The app remembers your settings, like your preferred delay, and how many free minutes you've used this week. This information stays on your iPhone. We can't see it. Deleting the app deletes it.
No accounts, analytics, or ads
The app has no login, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking tools. We don't know who you are or how you use the app.
Purchases
If you buy the $4.99 unlock, Apple handles the payment. We never see your name, email, or payment details. Apple tells the app only that the unlock was purchased, so it can turn on unlimited use.
Crash reports
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. These don't identify you. You can turn this off in Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.
Children
Speech Steady collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Parents and therapists can let children use it without creating any record about them.
This website
speechsteady.com uses no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking scripts. Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver the page and protect against abuse. We don't use it to identify or track you.
Emailing us
If you email support, we use your message and email address only to reply to you. We don't add you to any list, and you can ask us to delete your messages.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, we'll update the date above and describe the change here. If we ever start collecting any data, we'll say so clearly before it happens.
